lements Spa and Salon Hawaii was opened in 2005 by Jamie Cheng and Bree Komagome, two local attorneys with backgrounds in business and law. Jamie and Bree’s experience as professional spa clients, however, and their love of the spa environment prompted them to leave the practice of law to become entrepreneurs.
The girls’ vision for their business was to be up-scale and elegant, but to remain a welcoming and comfortable place where they could develop personal friendships with their clients. In today’s day and age, with email, ATMs, videoconferencing, and automation making everything less personal, Jamie and Bree wanted to provide their clients and friends with personal interaction that is missing for so many in their daily routines. Jamie and Bree felt that one should not have to sacrifice style and elegance for a friendly face. Thus, the girls developed a business plan for an intimate salon and spa that focused on providing quality services in an elegant and welcoming atmosphere.
Elements Spa and Salon Hawaii was thus born. Today, Elements Spa and Salon is everything the girls dreamed it would be and continues to grow each year. Jamie and Bree, however, never stop strategizing on ways to improve their business and bring their business to the next level. No matter how successful they get, they will never forget the reason they started the business in the first place and it will always remain an intimate and welcoming place for their clients, friends and family.
